Prepare for the ASNT Level III certification examinations
Many operations in the chemical, oil and gas industries regularly require the knowledge and skills of technical personnel with extensive experience in nondestructive testing (NDT) or predictive maintenance. Technical professionals holding Level III certification from the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) ASNT have demonstrated that they have the requisite expertise in the technical principles behind NDT or predictive maintenance activities that they perform, monitor, witness or evaluate.
ASNT Level III certification requires the successful completion of two separate examinations, administered by the ASNT. The Basic Examination consists of 135 questions that assess a certification candidate’s knowledge of NDT methods, as well at materials, fabrication and product technology. The Methods Examination includes a minimum of 90 questions that assess a candidate’s knowledge and application of the fundamentals, principles and techniques for the specific NDT method for which certification is being sought. The Methods Examination may also include questions that assess a candidate’s ability to understand a specification and apply its requirements.
TÜV SÜD America, Chemical, Oil and Gas offers a comprehensive training program designed to support a candidate’s successful completion of the examinations required for ASNT Level III certification. Our ASNT Level III training is conducted by experienced TÜV SÜD professionals holding ASNT Level III certification. Scheduled training programs are conducted throughout the year in Houston, TX and at other locations. In-house training for ASNT Level III certification for groups of 10 or more is also available.
