Global Risk Consultants is pleased to announce the roll-out of a web-based fire protection impairment management system. The GRC Impairment Management System provides users ease of access with options to use their computer, smartphone or tablet, in six different languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.
A fire impairment program is one of the key pillars of a world class property loss control program. The intent of an impairment program is to effectively manage impaired fire protection (closed valves & water supplies out of service) so that the impairment time is reduced and precautions are taken during the impairment. Some of the largest property losses have occurred where automatic fire protection was installed but impaired.
Our newly developed system is interactive, intuitive and already proven to reduce the time needed to manage impairments. More appropriate details regarding impairments are collected and shared through this system. This provides an efficient user experience that will only ask for and collect information regarding the specific type of impairment you are managing.
The easy user interface for both web- and mobile-based systems provides all the tools necessary from reporting the impairment, restoring, updating - by extending the anticipated restoration date, or canceling the impairment.
Another feature includes auto-generated email notifications that escalate serious impairments to a designated person within your organization as well as a GRC representative so that the issue can be addressed immediately. Follow-ups are also part of the routine use of the system, reminding users when an impairment is past due so as to keep all impairments up to date.
Gone are the days of phone calls, e-mails and faxes. With this on-line system, facility personnel are able to take ownership and manage their impairments, escalating to others when prudent. The system also provides printable Impairment Tags for attachment to the impaired device and more detailed reports for your impairment recordkeeping.
