Peabody, MA Six of TÜV SÜD’s finest employees worked as a team to complete one of the most gruelling fitness events on the planet. These dedicated staff members, all new to the Tough Mudder experience, are now part of a tribe of participants that is over 2 million strong. Raising money for charity was the goal, but bragging rights and fitness are prized benefits.
Complete with new obstacles for 2016 the event was held in Barrie, Ontario this past Saturday Sept 10th. Over 20 obstacles must be conquered on this 18 km (11 mile) course. With names like The Block Ness Monster, Artic Enema and Everest 2.0 a Tough Mudder challenge is not for the faint of heart. The TÜV SÜD staff trained for 6 months in advance and all that preparation paid off as they crossed the finish line in less than 4 hours. Participants included Garry Lee, David Bell, Amir Emami, Daniel Balilti, Jandrew Gonzales and Nazmus Sakib.
“The TÜV SÜD Canada team has always believed in working hard and playing hard,” explains Garry Lee, Engineering Manager at TÜV SÜD, Gormley, ONT, “and this is another great example of our never quit attitude and team spirit”.
Benefits of the fundraiser go to Wounded Warriors Canada whose mission is to honor and support Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, First Responders and their families.
