TÜV SÜD 2016 Medical Roadshow: Spotlight on TorontoPosted on 22.07.2016
TÜV SÜD's department of Medical and Health Services will embark on a six-stop North American roadshow in August 2016 to join industry leaders in discussion and lectures regarding the new regulations on CE marking approval in Europe and the impact on CE Marking. On August 8, TÜV SÜD will pay a visit to Toronto, in what is certain to be a highlight of their summer tour.
The show will feature the same TÜV SÜD experts as all the other stops: Dr. Bassil Akra and Dr. Royth von Hahn, two leading authorities on medical device regulations and a number of health care and medical fields. The two will be on hand to provide technical expertise on the new EU regulatory changes that will impact medical device manufacturers and answer attendees' questions. Additionally, the event, which kicks off at 8:15 a.m. at the MaRS Discovery District provides a valuable half-day information and networking session (RAC approved). Snacks, beverages and lunch are also provided.
What is the MaRS Discover District?
One of the items that makes the Toronto show such a unique and exciting stop is TÜV SÜD's partnership with MaRS EXCITE, co-host for the Canada roadshow - EXCITE stands for Excellence in Clinical Innovation Technology Evaluation. The program is part of the MaRS Health portfolio and is housed in the MaRS Discovery District, a thriving section of Toronto featuring innovators in health, energy, work and learning, and commerce.
MaRS is a perfect pairing for the TÜV SÜD roadshow for the amount of expertise it can bring to the table of its own accord. Because so much is happening all over the world in health care and technology innovation - and the regulations that go along with that - it's always beneficial to assemble the top minds around to discuss the impact these changes will have.
